Connection Lines
Guides to Emby features, configuration, and usage.
A connection line is the network address through which an Emby client connects to an Emby server.
- 📥Obtaining a Connection Line: You can obtain an Emby connection line only after registering for or purchasing access to an Emby server and creating an account. It is generally available through the server's bot or Wiki.
- 🧩Connection Line Format: Emby connection lines usually use the
domain:portformat, with the domain before the colon and the port number after it, for examplehttps://www.emby.com:443orhttp:www.emby.com:80. Find the domain and port to enter in the Emby server's Telegram bot, Wiki, or connection-line page. - 🛣️Types of Connection Lines: Connection lines for Telegram Emby servers can currently be divided into two broad categories: direct-connect and direct connection not guaranteed.
- Direct-connect: A line that lets you connect directly to the server without using a proxy. It is suitable for users who rarely use a proxy or who need to share access with family members.
- Direct connection not guaranteed: These lines generally require a proxy before you can connect to the server. Stability usually depends on the proxy method and the quality of its route. Connecting without a proxy may significantly affect playback.
